The Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet) has activated the yellow warning for waves of four or five meters with sea combined from the north or northeast and wind from the northeast with force 7 due to coastal phenomena and also another yellow warning for winds with maximum gusts of up to 70 kilometers per hour on Canary Islands.
The warning for coastal phenomena It will come into force at 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, December 9, at Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where it will run until Friday at 11:59 a.m., according to Aemet.
Too Thursday the yellow warning for coastal phenomena will be activated in the east, south and west of Gran Canaria (Thursday 9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Friday), east and west of La Palma (9:00 p.m. on Thursday to 11:59 p.m. on Friday), La Gomera, El Hierro (9:00 p.m. on Thursday to 5:59 p.m. on Friday), North (9:00 p.m. Thursday to 5:59 p.m. Friday), south, east and west of Tenerife (9:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Thursday).
The Friday, at north of Gran Canaria (00.00 a.m. to 11.59 a.m.) and the metropolitan area of Tenerife (00.00 hours to 17.59 hours) will also be under the yellow warning for coastal phenomena, as detailed by Aemet.
Regarding the wind, the yellow notice will be extended to the peaks of Gran Canaria and La Palma, Lanzarote, La Gomera and El Hierro. It will be in force from 6:00 p.m. tomorrow Thursday until early Friday.
This Thursday the sky will be cloudy in the north and east of the islands of greater relief and there will be cloudy intervals in the rest. Generalized rains are expected in La Palma, Tenerife and Gran Canaria, without ruling out weak and occasional rains in the rest of the islands.
The minimum temperatures will experience few changes and the maximums will be slightly decreasing, this being more notable in the peaks and midlands of the central islands. The wind will blow strong from the northeast.
In Las Palmas de Gran Canaria the minimum temperature will be 18 degrees Celsius and the maximum of 22 and in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the minimum is forecast at 17 degrees and the maximum at 21 degrees.
