The president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has stated that the words "are unable" to describe "disgust and indignation" for the sexist murder of a 47-year-old woman in Elche (Alicante) and the aggression suffered by another woman in the pedanía de El Perellonet (Valencia) at the hands of his partner.
"Macho terrorism is a reality, and combating its causes is a struggle of all," said Puig in a message he shared on social networks.
The vice president of the Consell, Monica Oltra, has also expressed her "shock, rejection and anger" for the sexist crime and has defended: "The whole society united, with the victims and in front of the aggressors".
The president of the Popular Party of the Valencian Community, Isabel Bonig, has conveyed her condolences to the relatives of the murdered woman and has expressed the rejection of the PP to gender violence, "a scourge against which we must fight together."
The PSPV-PSOE has shown its rejection and condemnation of the crime of Elche macho: "We can not take a step back in the fight against male terrorism, we will not stop until we fight this scourge," he commented on social networks.
Since Valencian Community Citizens have also condemned the sexist murder.
