The president of China, Xi Jinping, will carry out an official trip through Europe between the next days 21 and 26 of March, confirmed today the authorities of the Asian country.
The president will visit Italy, Monaco and France, according to a brief statement published on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which does not specify the dates on which it will travel to each country.
The spokesman of the Ministry Lu Kang yes that explained that the invitations for Xi came from the Italian president, Sergio Matarella; of the French, Emmanuel Macron, and of Prince Albert II of Monaco, respectively.
One of the highlights of this trip will be the signing of the accession of Italy to the billionaire infrastructure plan promoted by Xi, known as "New Silk Routes", already confirmed by the Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte.
In Italy it is stated that the visit of the Chinese leader will take place between days 22 and 24.
The transalpine country would join the other members of the European Union (EU) that already participate in the initiative, according to the official website of the project: Portugal, Malta, Austria, Greece, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Czech Republic , Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovakia.
Xi already visited Europe at the end of November and the beginning of December 2018 in a trip before and after the G20 summit in which he passed through Spain and Portugal.
