Spanish players Xavi Hernandez Y Gabi Fernández, ex of FC Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid, have conquered this Thursday the League of Qatar with Al Sadd after imposing on Ah Ahli (7-2) in the penultimate day of the championship, in a duel that confirms the dominance of the set located in Doha.
The title is fourteenth club in its history -founded in 1969- and is the first League for Xavi and Gabi outside of Spain. Both were champions with Barça and Atlético and this Thursday they have expanded their curriculum with a new triumph in their Qatari experience.
Xavi, 39, and Gabi, 35, relieved Raúl González as the champion of the Emirati country, the last Spanish player to win the Qatar league. For the midfielder of Terrasa, his fourth squad is Qatari after the Emir Cup, the Cup of the country and the Sheikh Jassim Cup.
