TheWhatsApp dark modeis already available in thelatest beta version of the applicationfor Android devices, 2.20.13, something that was expected for a few months.
Being a beta version, it isonly available for a few, although any user can access it by becoming a ‘beta tester’. Users who are not ‘betatesters’ can obtain version 2.20.13 through APK Mirror, as reported by the Android Police.
To enable dark mode, users who have this beta versionthey will have to access the ‘Settings’ sectionof the application and then click on ‘Chats’.
Once in that section, the user must enter the‘Theme’ option, in which you can choose between three options: dark, light, “was established by energy saving”.
Facebook messaging servicealready announced at the beginning of December that the application was preparing a functionwith which the dark mode could be activated automatically according to the energy saving settings.
By choosing this option,WhatsApp can activate dark mode automaticallyaccording to the battery saving settings chosen by the user.
WhatsApp announced in March that it was working in a dark mode on its Android version and more than a year ago the WABetanInfo portal reported that the company was also planning this mode for the iOS version.
