The instant messaging applicationWhatsApphas registered this Sunday aglobal problemand does not allow users to send photos, videos or audios.
The Down Detector website, which monitors incidents in the main applications and computer services,has detected failuresin the WhatsApp service at various points ofEurope, South America and Asia.However, the incident, which started around 12.00 on this Sunday, does allow users to send and receive text messages.
WhatsApp, owned byFacebook, has more than 1,500 muser illonesand it is the most used instant messaging application worldwide. In Spain, 25 million users are counted.
Last November, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram registered a global drop that, however, did not affect Spain too much. In July 2019, a massive failure of the three platforms affected Spanish users.
