The messaging applicationWhatsapphas developed a new system of invitations to groups, with which for the first timeallows its users to refuse to be added to group chats, as an alternative to the current system in which they are added automatically.
This feature has been noticed by the WABetaInfo portal, through code hints located in a beta version developed by the company for iOS systems.
The new system of invitations to groups of WhatsApp includesa new tab in the privacy settingsof the application through which users canlimit who can add them to groups, providing three options: everyone, only contacts or nobody.
In cases where the user has decided to limit the users who can add them to groups, when an administrator introduces them in oneyou will receive an invitation beforehand, which can be accepted or rejected within a maximum period of 72 hours, after which it expires.
Although for the moment the function is not operational even in the beta for iOS, will be enabled in the future for both the iOS system and Android, according to the aforementioned media. The changes do not affect the current system of invitations by links.
