'The last Samurai'
The last samurai. United States, 2003 (148 minutes). Director: Edward Zwick. Performers: Tom Cruise, Ken Watanabe, Timothy Spall.
Tom Cruise returns to the adventure cinema with an epic story set in nineteenth-century Japan and which establishes an original parallel between the decadence of East and West, equating the extermination of the Indians with the Japanese samurai.
