Reds. United States, 1981 (187 minutes). Director: Warren Beatty. Performers: Warren Beatty, Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson.

Warren Beatty revisits the most intense years of the life of American journalist and activist John Reed with a burning film. His romance with the writer and militant feminist Louise Bryant will take them to Russia, where they will live the revolutionary revolution of October 1917. Reds it is a fervent melodrama that, although it approaches hagiography, maintains an excellent dramatic pulse and delves with precision into the chiaroscuros and torments of its characters. Beatty is shown as a superlative narrator and skillfully captures the vital and ideological whirlwind in which the story moves, also supported by a monumental work of its interpreters.
