"We will not negotiate if the Government does not urge the Prosecutor's Office to withdraw accusations"

The spokesman of ERC in the Congress, Joan Tardà, has warned today to the Government of Pedro Sanchez that will not negotiate the general budgets of the State if it does not urge the Office of the Prosecutor "to withdraw the accusations" against the independentistas leaders processed by the 1-O .

After participating in an act of homage to the Republicans executed, imprisoned or repressed by the Franco regime, in the Fossar de la Pedrera of the cemetery of Montjuïc, Tardà has referred to the possibility that the Prosecutor's Office, in its brief of provisional conclusions on the case of 1-O, consider maintaining the offense of rebellion for the promoters of the unilateral referendum, but do not request the maximum penalties.

"We will not negotiate anything if the Spanish Government does not urge the Prosecutor's Office to withdraw the accusations," Tardà stressed, for whom the only "solution" is to declare the "acquittal" of the defendants.

According to Tardà, "the Spanish Justice only has a script" in this judicial process by the 1-O, that is "the revenge and the punishment".
