Washing and ironing on weekends instead of weekdays can save about 40 euros a year




The new electricity billing system, that will come into force on June 1, can lower the electricity bill by 3.4% of the 19 million domestic consumers covered by the regulated tariff (pvpc) without hourly discrimination, according to the estimates of the National Commission of the Markets and Competition (CNMC).

However, in the case of consumers who are subject to tolls with time difference -about 10 million- the new scheme will make the bill for tolls and charges increase by about two euros a month.
