Alerts for high temperatures continue this Tuesday. The heat will reach 40 degrees in the Tajo and Miño valleys and the rain puts Aragón and Catalonia on yellow alert. In total there are 11 communities on alert, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet).

Orange alert in Castilla-La Mancha and Galicia due to high temperatures during the central hours of the day. Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Madrid and Navarra on yellow alert due to temperatures that will reach 37 degrees.

Aemet informs that Aragon and Catalonia, both with a yellow alert, will be affected by rains of up to 25 liters per square meter of precipitation in one hour in almost all the provinces and especially in the Pyrenees and areas close to it.

As for the storms, Aragón, Castilla y León, Catalonia and La Rioja will be affected, with a yellow warning due to afternoon rainfall sometimes accompanied by hail and strong or very strong gusts of wind.

The yellow alert would affect some specific activities, but does not indicate a meteorological risk for the general population, according to the agency.
