Vodafone Spain has launched a new rate plan that can only be contracted digitally, aimed at customers who seek a simpler relationship with their operator and have a high volume of data, with which the company seems to face the new brand of Telefónica, O2.
The new proposal, called Vodafone bit, includes only two tariffs, one mobile only, with 25 gigs at 25 euros, and one mobile-fixed (with 25 gigs and 100 Mbps fiber), at 50 euros, the director general announced today. of the Vodafone Spain Private Individuals Business Unit, Andrés Vicente, at a press conference.
When asked about the similarity with O2, which also includes only two tariffs (mobile and fixed-mobile) and is based on the simple relationship with the customer, Vicente stressed that, as far as he knows, the new Telefónica brand "yes" he does telephone attention and sells in physical channels ".
"That is one hundred percent digital is superdifferential. In Spain there is no such proposal, they are all hybrid," he added, which has highlighted that they already have a similar proposal in the UK (Vodafone Voxi) "that is working very well" .
In addition, he has highlighted, does not have television, nor data bonds for specific services nor the possibility of accumulating data that is not used, as it happens with Lowi (the low cost brand of Vodafone).
On the risk of "cannibalization" of clients who hire other rates of the company, Vicente has indicated that "the biggest risk is that you cannibalize another."
