However, the experience on board is changing by leaps and bounds: Iberia and Inflight VR, a company specializing in the application of virtual reality to the tourism industry, have joined forces to incorporate this technology in Iberia flights. As reported by the company, after a trial period, the virtual reality glasses will be available on board the two daily flights of the Spanish airline to New York, operated with A350-900 aircraft, and on the route Madrid-Tel Aviv, which is offered every day with an A330-200 device.
The collaboration agreement between Iberia and Inflight is six months and this new service could be extended to new routes soon.
From the airline have explained that virtual reality glasses Pico second generation can be rented as part of the product offer «duty free» aboard the flights.
