Valladolid and Celta do not go from a draw to one

Real Valladolid once again added a draw at the José Zorrilla stadium, in this case, against a Celta who also already accumulates two draws, after seeing how, after taking the initiative on the scoreboard, Sergio González’s men balanced the score with a penalty transformed by Guardiola.

The Blanquivioleta team came out with the intention of controlling the ball and to prevent Celta from taking the initiative in this facet, and both teams focused on the defensive plane in the first bars of the clash, in which there were few occasions in attack.

The difficulty to reach the opposing goal was maximum, and there were many stops in the game, which was of little benefit to the show. Both, very organized in defense, expected an error from the opposite to get oil and it was Celta who got it, a minute before reaching the end of the first half.

Denis Suárez recovered a ball in his area to offer a deep pass to Iago Aspas, who sped up and beat the Blanquivioletas defenders and the local goal, thus raising the first goal, which was a real jug of cold water for Real Valladolid.

After the restart, the match continued along the same lines, with a Real Valladolid that did not finish carrying danger and a Celtic who, also with an advantage in the electronic, tried to maintain defensive concentration so as not to lose what was harvested. All this with great intensity.

But the changes began and the local team began to show more offensive bite. Nacho warned, with a direct free kick that Iván Villar had to clear and, shortly after, Kike Pérez fell down in the area Celta, which did not make the referee doubt when signaling a penalty, which was transformed by Guardiola to tie the match.

The two teams tried to undo the balance, especially the local team, which turned in the closing stages in search of victory, but finally had to settle for a point.
