The era of Juan Carlos Valerón at the head of Fabril began yesterday in Abegondo with a first session that served him as a contact with his new players, still divided into groups by the protocol against the coronavirus. Manuel Pablo – who repeats as second coach of the subsidiary, now together with his former teammate and great friend – was always by his side to help him familiarize himself with the squad. It was also the first day on the pitch for the new quarry director, Fran González Pérez, who took the opportunity to closely follow the evolution of the factory workers and the youth players. His work is more in the offices, but from the first moment he also wants to have direct information from day to day and for the kids to see and feel that they are following them carefully from all levels.
Before the activity, the executive Albert Gil and Fran himself met with the staff and technical staff of Fabril, youth A and youth B to welcome them, send them a message of encouragement and lay the foundations for this new stage in which the club intends to decisively prioritize the work of formative football in the hope that the first team will be nurtured by home players in a reasonable amount of time. Directors Ricardo González, José Luis Queijeiro and Manuel José Vázquez also participated in this initial sharing.
The central David Suárez, who arrives from Arenteiro, the midfielder Javier Sanmartín (Racing de Ferrol), the winger Raúl Pescador (Getafe B) and the forward Juan Cambón (As Pontes) are the four novelties with which the Fabril began the work preseason. There are also signings in youth A, starting with the bench, with the arrival of Óscar Gilsanz as coach. Of the group under his command, five are reinforcements: Guillermo Bueno (Areosa), Nicolás Clouston (Calasanz), Diego Fuentes (Ural), Brais Val (Valencia) and Raúl Gómez Martiñán (Arosa)
