A phone call or a SMS summon in the Canary Islands to be vaccinated against covid-19 between 24 and 48 hours before receiving the immunization dose. In this regard, the Ministry of Health recalls in a note the importance of attending the appointment to receive the vaccine, since the calendar is organized according to the available doses and the target population to be vaccinated at all times. In such a way that any cancellation or non-appearance can produce a mismatch in the plans.

The appointment for the vaccine in the non-capital islands is made by telephone call. In the capital cities, the group over 80 years of age is summoned through a telephone call, while the 60 to 65 age group is being summoned via SMS, which is why they insist on being aware of these communications . In all cases, the appointments are being made between 24 and 48 hours prior to the appointment, in order to make a calendar as closely as possible to the reality of the available doses, for which a call is made for citizen responsibility and go to that appointment.
Once the immunization of groups 1 and 2 with the two doses is completed, the vaccination schedule continues with the rest of target population. In this sense, it should be noted that group 4, that of large household dependents, is 73.3 percent immunized with the two doses; an advance that is also noteworthy in group 5, those over 80 years of age who are already vaccinated at 86.3 percent with one dose and 25 percent with two.
Group 3 is already 99.96 percent with one dose and 24.18 percent with two doses; and group 6, 26.3% with one dose.
The vaccination schedule will continue to advance every day of the week including weekends and Easter holidays with the aim of vaccinating as many people as possible.
