The UGT, CCOO, CIG and CUT unions request the inclusion of all the staff of the PSA Group factory in Vigo, more than 7,000, in the temporary employment regulation (ERTE) file announced by the French multinational for all its work due to force majeure.
In a joint statement, these four plants propose that 100% of the extra payments and vacations be respected and the commitment that the eventual remain in the company for at least one year, and that the collection of the agreed variable premium is ensured. for this year.
Additionally, they request that the individual agreement days be maintained for this year and the ten days of adaptation of the working day once the ERTE ends; and the advance payment of the ERTE by the company in anticipation of a possible delay.
Meanwhile, the company has advanced that it will begin to outline the conditions of application of the ERTE from tomorrow with the unions.
Company sources confirm that in the meeting held today with the representatives of the company committee, it was reported that each week the possibility of resuming activity at the Balaídos factory will be evaluated, which, in principle, will take another week regarding the scheduled date, March 27.
PSA Vigo, which employs around 7,000 people, maintains a toll-free telephone line to inform its staff about the evolution of the situation.

The car group announced a week ago the progressive closure of all its production plants in Europe due to the spread of the coronavirus. In Spain, these plants employ 12,000 people in their production chains.
That same day, the activity of the PSA factory in Madrid stopped, while on Tuesday it stopped the one in Zaragoza and on Wednesday the ones in Vigo and Mangualde, in Portugal, with about a thousand employees.
