The unemployment rate in Japan rose to 2.5% last November, one tenth more than in October, the government reported today.
According to official information, the number of unemployed reached 1.68 million people last month, 110,000 less than the level recorded in the same month last year, representing a year-on-year reduction of 5.9%.
Last November, people employed in Japan reached 67.09 million, 2.4% more than in the same month last year.
According to official data, the number of jobs available per 100 people seeking employment in Japan was 163 last November, above the 162 registered in October.
The lowest unemployment rate in Japan so far this year was recorded last May, when it reached 2.2%, the lowest level in five decades.
