Unemployment in Japan remained at 2.4% in February



Japan's unemployment rate held steady at 2.4 percent in February from the previous month, according to data released Tuesday by the government.

The number of unemployed in the third world economy in the second month of 2020 was 1.59 million, representing an increase of 30,000 people or 1.9% compared to the same month of 2019, according to data from the Ministry of Health, Work and Well-being.

The number of people with work reached 66.91 million in February, an increase of 350,000 or 0.5% year-on-year.

Likewise, the number of jobs available for every 100 people looking for work in Japan was 145 in February, which represents a decrease compared to 149 the previous month.
