Canary Islands has achieved the immunization of 802,224 people, who have already received the complete vaccination schedule against covid-19, which represents 40.91% of the target population of the Islands. Likewise, in the Archipelago there are 1,159,764 people who have received at least one dose of the serum, that is, 59.1% of the population over twelve years of age. According to data from the Ministry of Health, until Friday, the vaccination teams had administered 1,885,958 doses, 95.01% of the 1,984,970 that have reached the Islands.
After two-dose immunization of residents and workers of social health centers and first-line health professionals, vaccination continued with the rest of the groups established in the vaccination strategy. 76.79% of the large home dependents are already immunized with two doses; and 84.27% of people over 66 years of age also have the complete regimen and 100% have received at least one dose of the drug.
Group 3, made up of health and social health personnel not included in group 2, is already one hundred percent with one dose and 79.74% with two doses; and group 6, made up of 66,000 people, including teachers, firefighters and policemen, 79.82% have been inoculated with a dose, while 77.76% are already immunized.
At a good pace
Vaccination coverage has also been completed with a dose of group 7, which includes the population under 60 years of age at risk of severe covid-19, since 12,330 people have been vaccinated, while 83, 42% of this group have already received the two doses.
For their part, 119,537 people between the ages of 60 and 65 who make up group 8 have received a dose, which represents 78.39% of that group; while 45.63% already have immunization. Regarding group 9, made up of people between 50 and 59 years old, 85.23% have received one dose, and 79.11% of that age group have both doses.
The inoculation of people between 40 and 49 years old has also progressed so that 153,570 people, 47.69% have received at least one dose, while 27.45% are immunized. As for the group of people between 30 and 39 years old, 29.73% have at least one dose of vaccine and 2.72% are already immunized. For its part, group 12, made up of people aged between 20 and 29, already has coverage with a dose of 5.36%, which represents 13,504 vaccinated people.
