Dozens of agents today register the headquarters of the car manufacturer Opel in the German cities of Rüsselheim and Kaiserslautern in the face of suspicions of manipulation of the emission values ​​of polluting gases in Euro 6 diesel vehicles.

According to the German newspaper Bild, the records carried out by the Criminal Investigation Office (LKA) of the state of Hesse, the Prosecutor's Office of Frankfurt and the police respond to a complaint lodged by the Federal Office of Motor Vehicles (KBA).

"We are investigating the suspicion of fraud by the putting into circulation of diesel vehicles for manipulation of the software that measures the polluting emissions," the Attorney General, Nadja Niesen, told the newspaper.

The newspaper reports 95,000 affected vehicles, specifically the Insignia, Zafira and Cascada models, manufactured in 2012, 2014 and 2017.
