The Ministry of Health of the Government of the Canary Islands communicates two new cases and four in study of monkeypox since yesterday.

All active cases are having
mild symptomatology and remain in home isolation receiving follow-up by Primary Care.

There's also
ten suspected casespending confirmation, three notified in Tenerife, three in Fuerteventura, two in Lanzarote, one in Gran Canaria and one in La Palma.

The protocol of the Ministry of Health classifies cases between probable and suspected depending on whether the patient meets clinical criteria and epidemiological criteria (probable cases) or if it only presents clinical criteria and in such a case it is considered a suspected case.
