The Government Council authorized, this Monday, the Ministry of Health to destinationr 2.048.311,56 euros to contracting a supply of implantable defibrillator pacemakers and electrodes destined for the hospitals of the Canarian Health Service.

For the acquisition of this supply, the validity of the framework agreement signed on December 30, 2021 by the General Directorate of Economic Resources of the SCS for the supply of pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, electrodes and implantable holters will be extended during the period covered. between January 10, 2024 and September 5, 2025.

The Budget item destined for this contracting file will cover the needs of the SCS hospitals that implant these cardiac electronic devices, with the following distribution for the extension period: 1,275,576.72 euros corresponding to the Hospital Universitario de Gran Canaria Dr. Negrín, 469,395, 72 euros from the Insular Maternal-Child University Hospital Complex, 130,690.52 euros from the Nuestra Señora de Candelaria University Hospital, 19,326.92 euros from the Canary Islands University Hospital Complex, 102,173.94 euros from the Health Services Management of La Palma and 51,147.74 euros from the Fuerteventura Health Services Management.
