The streaming platformTwitch, specialized in the retransmission of live videogames games, has been the most used in 2019 ahead ofYouTube Gaming, while some of its rivals such as Facebook Gaming and Mixer are growing little by little.
According to the State of Stream report published by StreamElements and Arsenal.gg, Twitch has had a 73 percent market share in 2019, which is two percentage points less than the previous year.
YouTube Gaming is in second position with a 21 percent stake, compared to 22 percent in 2018. For its part,Facebook GamingYMixerthey have had 2 percent more participation this year, positioning themselves in third and fourth position with 3 percent each.
The report also shows the ‘top 10’ of ‘streamers’ this year, with the player ofFortniteYou were leading the list with more than 87.78 million hours of hearing on Twitch this year.
The ‘streamer’ Shroud is in second position, followed by summit1g,Ninja and Asmongold. In addition, Sadummy has been the best female streamer on Twitch in 2019, followed by Amouranth and itsHafu.
LoL beats Fortnite
The videogameLeague of Legends (LoL)has managed to overcomeFortnitein terms of the number of hours of hearing on Twitch, becoming the most watched game of the year on this streaming platform.
LoL has recorded a 7 percent increase in this year’s audience hours on Twitch, with more than 990 million hours, according to a report byStreamElementsand Arsenal.gg.
Fortnite, which topped the charts in 2018, has fallen to second place, after registering 28 percent less audience hours, with 885 million hours.
Meanwhile, Just Chatting has positioned itself in third place followed byGrand Theft Auto V, which has registered an annual growth of 277 percent with more than 500 million hours of audience, and DOTA 2 with 458 million hours.
In the ‘top 10’ most watched video games on Twitch throughout the year are also foundCounter Strike: Global OffensiveYWorld of warcraft, which have positioned themselves in sixth and seventh positions, respectively.
As for new games launched in 2019, Apex Legends stands out, which with nearly 300 million hours of audience on the platform, has become the eighth most watched game this year.
On the other hand, according to the report, the audience hours ofOverwatchYHearthstone-even in the top 10- have been reduced by six and 38 percent, respectively.
