TV3, the news channel 3/24 and the station Catalunya Informació will transmit this Saturday the campaign acts of the three political parties that have representation in the Congress of Deputies (PSC, PP and Cs) and that did not support the independence demonstration in Madrid on last March 16.
In compliance with the resolution of the Central Electoral Board (JEC) of March 27, the CCMA media will broadcast this Saturday between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm electoral content chosen by the three parties.
Citizens will have 34 minutes; the PP, 40 minutes and PSC, 47 minutes
The order and time of appearance, proportional to the representation in the Congress of Deputies of the political formations that are presented to the 28A elections, will be as follows: Citizens (34 minutes), PP (40 minutes) and PSC (47) minutes).
In this way, TV3, channel 3/24 and Catalunya Informació will broadcast the act that will lead the leader of Ciutadans Albert Rivera in the morning in Seville, the act of the PP with José María Aznar and Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo that was made in Barcelona last night and the opening of the PSC's electoral campaign that took place yesterday in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, with Meritxell Batet and Miquel Iceta.
The March 16 demonstration in Madrid received priority information treatment in numerous public and private media in Spain, as well as by the international press, as The Guardian, Al-Jazeera, The Washington Post, Fox News, Euronews, and agencies such as Reuters or Associated Press, the CCMA said in a statement.
The Provincial Electoral Board of Barcelona considered that the coverage by TV3, Catalunya Ràdio and Catalunya Informació "was not excessive", but the JEC revoked the ruling
Citizens filed an appeal on March 18 with the Provincial Electoral Board of Barcelona against the coverage that was made by the CCMA media, considering, among other reasons, that it did not respect "political and social pluralism, as well as the equality, proportionality and information neutrality ".
The Provincial Electoral Board of Barcelona gave the reason on March 21 to the CCMA and considered that the coverage by TV3, Catalunya Ràdio and Catalunya Informació "was not excessive", nor did it violate the Electoral Law.
Before this resolution, Cs appealed to the Central Electoral Board of Madrid, which revoked the agreement of the Provincial Electoral Board of Barcelona, considering that it "violated the principles of political pluralism and information neutrality" and imposed on the CCMA the obligation to compensate the parties that did not support the Madrid demonstration.
