Trump returns to play golf in one of his clubs, amid the pandemic

US President Donald Trump was seen practicing his favorite sport, golf, on Saturday at his club outside Washington, after several weeks of not moving to some of his properties due to the coronavirus emergency. .

Dressed in a white shirt and cap, the president was caught by local media playing golf surrounded by members of the Secret Service and other companions who remained at some distance from him.

NBC reported that the president returned to one of his golf courses after 75 days. This Saturday, Trump visited his golf club in Sterling, Virginia.

The version indicated that the last time Trump was at one of his properties was during the weekend of March 6, when he moved to Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach (Florida), where a day later he had dinner with the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro.

After that visit, it was learned that the press chief of the Brazilian Government, Fabio Wajngarten, tested positive for coronaviruses, as well as the Brazilian ambassador to Washington, Nestor Forster, and one of the senators of that country, Nelsinho Trad.

NBC said that while the president has twice visited Camp David, the traditional official retreat for US leaders in the Catoctin Mountains of Maryland, it is unclear whether he has played golf during those work weekends.

This is the first day of a long weekend in the United States for the celebration of Memorial Day on Monday, traditionally marking the beginning of summer in the country.

This weekend, Los Angeles has opened beaches and parks to the public with certain restrictions, a move also taken by the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

New York City only allows citizens to walk or sit while maintaining social distance and wearing a face cover on the beaches, which are still closed due to the impact of COVID-19, which has claimed more than 21,000 lives in the Big Apple.
