Total ban on movement on weekend



The Serbian government on Thursday imposed a total ban on movement over the next weekend, in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Serbia has so far recorded 2,867 confirmed cases of coronavirus infections and experts consider that the country is at a crucial stage in its fight against the epidemic, and therefore they have urged the population to strictly respect the confinement measures adopted.

According to the authorities, in the past weekends the streets and parks were filled with people despite the recommendations to stay at home also outside the curfew imposed at night during the week, between 5:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.
