Torres rules out that the Mediator case affects the PSOE electorally on 28M

The president of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has shown his confidence this Wednesday that the canaries know how to differentiate the actions of the people involved in the mediator case of the management of his Government, ruling out in turn that the corruption scandal could affect the PSOE of the Canary Islands in the regional and municipal elections on May 28.

«Citizens know how to differentiate things", Torres said during his speech at the forum 'Canary Islands: Towards an increasingly green and blue economy', held in Madrid, where he argued that the majority of civil servants, public managers and businessmen are "honest and honest".

Thus, he highlighted the rapid action of the PSOE in forcing the resignation of Juan Bernardo Fuentes Curbelo, the socialist deputy involved in the 'Mediator case'. "It is what must be done," he asserted, describing the corruption plot as "regrettable, embarrassing, reprehensible and unacceptable». »Whether it affects our institution or any other, this is serious because it is a problem of political disaffection«, he added.

Torres has indicated, on the other hand, that the "stability" of his coalition government during "four very hard years" has been "key", showing himself confident that the voters will value that asset in the next appointment before the polls.

Vox's motion of no confidence

Torres has described as «sperpentic" and of "characteristic of surrealism» the motion of censure presented by Vox against the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, stressing that it is «incomprehensible" how "a party of ultra ideology" presents a candidate "that comes from the left”, the economist Ramón Tamames.

According to the Canarian president, Vox has presented the motion of censure "facing the gallery" and knowing that it had no chance of prospering. Meanwhile, he has shared his concern about the possible disaffection with politics and because the parliamentary tool is misrepresented.

«The motion of censure is always presented by someone who is an alternative. Not here, here it has been presented for the show, for the circus, for the media and not at all to be able to have a true alternative », she recounted, highlighting that The Government comes out reinforced "with this paripé" seen in Congress.

He has also criticized the Popular Party, pointing out that "it should be showing its face" and saying "what it thinks and voting clearly, not abstaining."
