The ‘Top Gamers Academy’ program, the first reality TV talent show about video games and content creation on the internet, premieres this Sunday, October 4, on the Neox television channel.

The contest, produced by Gestmusic Endemol and Webedia España, will feature a weekly gala that will be broadcast on television and will be hosted by presenter Jordi Cruz, while offering live content 24 hours a day on the Twitch and YouTube platforms.

For eight weeks, 21 contestants will coexist, train and compete played video games in a high-performance center with the aim of becoming specialized professionals.

The program aims to bring the reality of professional video game players and content creators closer to the general public and, with a format similar to that of contests such as Operación Triunfo, boost the careers of the contestants so that they can dedicate themselves to this growing sector.

In this sense, as the main claim and example of the potential that platforms such as YouTube and Twitch have, ‘Top Gamers Academy’ will have the participation of three of the main Spanish content creators, which accumulate millions of followers around the world, such as Elrubius, Willyrex and TheGrefg, who will act as mentors for the three teams in which the contestants will be divided.

In addition, another of the leading figures in the content creation sector such as Ibai Llanos will also take part in the program with the narration of some of the competitions.

As in other talent shows, the contestants will have different teachers to improve their skills and knowledge, not only in video game competitions, but also in fitness, diet, psychology, branding, personal marketing, and video editing, among others.

Both have highlighted that the project has been able to be carried out thanks to the sponsoring brands and the support of PlayStation Spain, ATRESMEDIA and OSL DeAPlaneta as “strategic allies”.
