"Together we stop, together we move forward". It is one of the slogans chanted this Friday at the demonstration by the Women's Day convened at 7:00 p.m. in the Plaza de la Feria of the Gran Canaria capital.
One more year, the mobilization brings together many people.
The Feminist Network of Gran Canaria calls this Friday to all people who defend effective equality between women and men to take to the streets to make history again on March 8, International Women's Day.
Under the slogan 'If women stop, the world stops', the mobilization for women's rights on the island of Gran Canaria starts from the Plaza de la Feria, in front of the Government Delegation in the Canary Islands, and will travel the streets to the Plaza de Santa Ana, in the town of Vegueta, where the feminist Manifesto will be read and the Simone de Beauvoir and Berta Cáceres prizes will be awarded.
