Madrid, Feb 16 (EFE) .- The representatives of the Tik Tok application have been open this Tuesday to listen to consumers and have contacted BEUC, the European organization that groups them, to find out their concerns, including their allegations of undercover advertising and misleading content.
Consumers, in an action led by BEU, consider that Tik Tok infringes the rights of European consumers and does not protect children from hidden advertising, or inappropriate content.
In a statement sent to Efe, Tik Tok maintains: “maintaining the safety of our community, especially that of our youngest users, and complying with the laws of the countries in which we operate is a responsibility that we take very seriously.”
“Every day – he continues – we strive to protect our community, so we have taken a series of important measures, such as making all accounts of users under 16 years of age private by default.”
“We are always open to hear how we can improve,” they conclude. EFE
