Three workers and an older woman injured when a scaffold fell in Malaga

Three workers and a 73-year-old woman who passed through the area have been injured this Monday in Malaga capital when a scaffold that the workers were removing was detached.

The event occurred shortly before 8.50 am at a construction site next to the Carmen market, a place where members of the Local and National Police, Fire and health services have moved, as reported to Efe from Emergencies 112 Andalusia and sources Police.

The scaffolding has fallen to the ground in Senador Francisco Román street, place to which the Public Company of Sanitary Emergencies (EPES) has transferred three teams, one of them an ICU, which has taken the injured woman to the Malaga Regional Hospital.

The three workers have been transferred by 061 to the Clinical Hospital with injuries that, in principle, are not serious.

Sources from this health center have indicated to Efe that two of them are admitted to the Emergency Observation area, with multiple injuries and contusions and are pending evolution and diagnostic tests.

As for the woman, the first evaluations point out that she has a broken fibula and hip damage, according to sources from firefighters, who have added that a business awning has slowed the fall of the scaffolding on her.
