Three students from Hecansa have been awarded a scholarship BBVA of Gastronomy to carry out his business practices in The Can Roca Celler. The name of the lucky ones was announced this morning by the famous brothers Roca, Joan, Josep, and Jordi. Thus, María Fernanda Cortés, Omar Moreno, and Héctor Pérez will have the opportunity to perfect their professional techniques -in kitchen and dining room respectively- in one of the most recognized restaurants in the country.
"Our choice has not been easy, but we have made a previous selection according to the criteria of the teachers, because it is the teachers who really know this group." We have also asked the students themselves questions related to their personal life, their ambitions, and their future projects, "said Josep Roca.
Regarding how the process of training of the kitchen students will be, Josep Roca He explained that the idea "is that they are geared to the team and can see first hand how the raw material is cooked, and how they work, then they will go through different kitchen rooms and we will do a training every Tuesday attending our process of creativity ".
As for room training, the somellier clarified that, during the first two weeks, "the student will be sponsored by a head of rank until he takes a certain ease and go to work with the rest of the team."
For its part, the managing director of Hecansa, Alberto Avila, wanted to highlight the importance of this training opportunity by saying that "it is one of the most promising scholarships in the world, which will open many doors to the beneficiaries".
An opinion seconded by the territorial director of BBVA Canarias, Francisco Jerez, who also added that "this project shows some common values that we carry by flag, contextualize our ideals through the delivery of these scholarships to give these children the opportunity to fulfill their dreams".
