Thousands of pensioners commemorate a year of protests in the streets of Bilbao

Thousands of people have gone out in the afternoon of this Saturday back to the street in Bilbao in demand of decent public pensions, in the week in which it is a year since the movement of pensioners began their protests in defense of their claims .
After a banner with its main claim, the demonstration, called by the movement of pensioners and retirees from Bizkaia, departed at 5.00 pm on the Gran Vía Bilbao, at the height of the headquarters of the Basque employers Confebask.
The march, in which, according to sources of the Municipal Police have involved 30,000 people, has toured the center of the city between cries of "govern who governs, pensions are defended."
The participants, who have faced a cold and unpleasant weather, have demanded, among other issues, a minimum pension of 1,080 euros and that the increase in pensions be shielded according to the CPI.
The organizers of the demonstration have insisted that they will continue the mobilizations in defense of their claims, among which is a demand "star" a pension worth 1,080 euros.
"We are not going to give up" in this demand, the representative of the collective Andrea Uña has told journalists.
