Those hospitalized with coronavirus rise more than 10% from Friday to their highest level in almost five months

Those hospitalized with coronavirus again mark their highest level since February. This Tuesday, there are 11,586 people admitted with coronavirus, which translates into an occupation of 9.56% of the beds. Compared to the previous report, revenues have increased by 10%, by 1,337 people. In the ICUs, there are 502 COVID-19 patients.

All in all, this Tuesday the Ministry of Health has registered 71,818 new cases of coronavirus since Friday, which brings the total number of cases since March 2020 notified by tests to 12,890,002. By communities, Catalonia is the one that adds the most cases (13,786), followed by Madrid (10,579) and the Valencian Community (8,346).

The incidence in people over 60 years of age rises compared to 996.25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days that marked Friday. Today it is at 1,135.30 points.

Regarding the deceased, the Ministry led by Darias has added 148 more, which places the number of deaths since the start of the pandemic at 108,259. Of these, 188 have occurred in the last seven days.
