The Civil Guard is looking for a man sentenced to 27 years in prison for murder who did not return to the Coruña prison of Teixeiro, in which he is a prisoner, after enjoying a prison permit. Prison sources have reported the breach of the conditions of the permit, which expired on the 10th.
The prisoner, Iván Añón, was imprisoned for a crime committed in Ponteceso (A Coruña) in the early hours of July 3, 2006. Añón was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his death during a thwarted robbery of Gerardo Martín Rey, a young man 24 years old from the neighboring town of Malpica who was intercepted on a highway and intimidated by the convicted and two other people when he returned in his vehicle after a night of partying accompanied by a girl.
At the trial, it was found that Añón went to the victim, pointed at him and finally ended up firing.
