Ginés Jesús Hernández, self-proclaimed Pope Gregory XVIII of El Palmar de Troya -unrecognized excision of Catholicism-, has been investigated by the Civil Guard as allegedly responsible for a crime of cultivation or drug production at his home in Monachil (Granada).
As sources from the armed institute and the Local Police have informed Efe, the investigation took place after this past July 11, at around 8.30 in the morning, knowledge of an alleged “overturn” (theft) of marijuana in this municipality near the capital of Granada.
Local Police officers were the first to arrive in the area and they found drug remains on the road, while a neighbor stated that she had been able to see how two people had entered a house and took the marijuana.
Once the agents managed to access the interior of the property, a diverse amount of marijuana buds were found, for which its owner has been investigated as allegedly responsible for a crime of cultivation or drug production, some events that the Ideal newspaper advances this Wednesday.
The former Pope Gregory XVIII has lived with his partner in Monachil (Granada) since 2016, after serving as the highest president of El Palmar de Troya since 2011. Former Spanish seminarian and military man, resigned in April 2016 and also abandoned religious life to marry his Granada partner.
