The emergency services have rescued the lifeless body of a woman, between 60 and 70 years of age, who was floating in waters of the Ria, at the height of Sestao (Bizkaia), as reported by the Basque Department of Security to Europa Press
The event occurred about 11 pm on Friday when individuals informed 112 that a body was floating in the water, next to a ramp on the Paseo de la Benedicta, in Sestao. Ertzaintza troops were able to remove the body from the waters and a doctor confirmed the death. The judicial entourage transferred the body to the forensic pathology service in Bilbao where an autopsy will be performed.
The victim, a woman between 60 and 70 years of age, did not carry any documentation so she is not yet identified, although the body did not show evidence of criminality. EP
