They capture an accomplice in the murder of a candidate after leaving a debate in Mexico

The Mexican State Prosecutor of Coahuila, Gerardo Márquez Guevera, announced on Monday the capture of an accomplice of the murder of candidate Fernando Purón Johnston occurred after leaving a debate in the 2018 elections.
Márquez reported that the detainee, identified as Erick Arámbula Viveros, has an arrest warrant since June 20, 2018 for having assisted the perpetrator of the murder against Purón Johnston of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
The suspect, accused of murder qualified in complicity, was arrested Monday in the southern state of Guerrero and made available to the authorities of Coahuila by the military police of the Ministry of National Defense.
Purón Johnston was murdered on June 8, 2018 on the outskirts of a regional university at the end of a debate in which he participated as a candidate for federal deputy, becoming one of the 115 politicians killed in the contest that year.
According to information from the authorities, Erick helped his brother Ignacio, who finally pulled the trigger, in the murder of the former mayor of Piedras Negras.
“Erick had a previous complicity, he was not the material author. It is one of the people that helps the material author to realize the fact of deprivation of life. It has just been handed over to Coahuila authorities, said Márquez Guevara.
Erick Arámbula was part of the riding team of the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) and participated in the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011.
Although a reward of 10 million pesos ($ 535,905) had been reported, the prosecutor said the issue remains under reserve; although he also attributed the finding to the intelligence bodies of the Prosecutors of the various states.
The material murderer has not been arrested, and on January 16, one more person was released who had been designated as an accomplice; however, the Prosecutor's Office did not find relevance in the case, so the judge released him.
Ignacio, aka "Putrambula", served as director of Public Security in Tenosique, in the southern state of Tabasco, and has more than 81 complaints for crimes such as homicide, kidnapping, torture, and abuse of authority.
