They begin the assembly of 84 kilometers of AVE track between Sanabria and Ourense

Adif Alta Velocidad has begun the assembly phase of 84 kilometers of track of the Madrid-Galicia AVE line in a stretch between the Zamora region of Sanabria and the province of Ourense, as reported by the company in a statement on Wednesday. of the Ministry of Development.

The works are undertaken in the section between Pedralba de la Pradería (Zamora) and Campobecerros (Ourense) and include in the initial phase surveying work, pre-treatments on the platform and the conditioning of the tunnels for track assembly.

Assembly work has begun with the supply, stockpiling and distribution of sleepers for the track in the A Canda tunnel on the right track and in the Bolaños tunnels on both tracks.

The section of the track assembly is 56.1 kilometers but the assembly work is mostly undertaken on separate platforms for the left and right track, so the total track length to be mounted is 84 , 5 kilometers, of which 63.5 are track and 21 track ballasted.

Assembly work was awarded to the company Ferrovial Agromán for 28,248,490 euros, VAT included.

The route runs on two independent single track platforms, except in the Pedralba de la Pradería tunnel and in the Requejo viaduct, at the beginning of the section, where there is a single platform for double track.

In addition to the assembly, the contract includes the installation of an auxiliary track and track devices to the ballast stockpile of Pedralba de la Pradería and the assembly base of A Mezquita, as well as the restoration of the two ballast storage areas.

Adif Alta Velocidad has already awarded the track assembly on the next section of the AVE to Galicia, included between the towns of Campobecerros and Taboadela, which totals 46.5 kilometers of double track.

A key element for the track assembly of these two sections is the assembly base of A Mezquita (Ourense), which will also be used later to maintain the track in the high-speed railway between Pedralba de la Pradería and Taboadela.
