The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will rise slightly this Sunday by 1.43% compared to this Saturday and will remain below the level of 250 euros megawatt/hour (MWh) for the fourth consecutive day. Specifically, it will stand at 228.30 euros.
Despite this, the levels continue to set very high records compared to what was paid last year and this Sunday the price will be 548.95% more expensive than the 53.24 euros/MWh this Saturday.

According to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE), the maximum electricity price for this Sunday will be between 00:00 and 01:00, with 290 euros/MWh, while the minimum is 129.99 euros /MWh, will be recorded between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The prices of the 'pool' have a direct impact on the regulated rate -the so-called PVPC-, to which almost 11 million consumers in the country are covered, and serve as a reference for the other 17 million who have contracted their supply in the free market .
