The average price of electricity in the wholesale market rose 3.11% this Wednesday, to 256 euros per megawatt/hour (MWh). The average price will be 0.35971 euros per MWh.

By time slots, the maximum electricity price for this Tuesday will be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., and between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., while the minimum will be recorded in the time slot between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. , as well as during the early morning.

Peak and off-peak hours Cheapest: from 3 a.m. to 4 a.m. Most expensive: from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The average price of electricity in the wholesale market for this Wednesday will rise by 3.11% in relation to today's record and will exceed the level of 250 euros megawatt/hour (MWh), standing at 255.81 euros.

Thus, the levels continue to set very high records compared to what was paid last year, which means that this Wednesday the price will be 378% more expensive than the 53.53 euros/MWh of March 30, 2021.

According to data published by the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Europa Press, the maximum electricity price for this Wednesday will be between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with 282.69 euros/MWh, while the minimum, of 228.78 euros/MWh, will be recorded between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The prices of the 'pool' have a direct impact on the regulated rate -the so-called PVPC-, to which almost 11 million consumers in the country are covered, and serve as a reference for the other 17 million who have contracted their supply in the free market .
