These are the cheapest hours of electricity for this Tuesday, August 9

The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will rise 1% this Tuesday and will stand at 272.87 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), with the cost of the 'pool' and compensation to gas companies, compared to 270.24 euros today.

According to the latest data from the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Servimedia, the price of electricity continues to rise.

The price of the 'pool' remains at 143.99 euros, 1.6% less than the 146.31 euros of this Monday.

For its part, the amount of gas compensation reaches 128.88 euros per MWh, compared to 123.93 euros today, which translates into an increase of 4%.

In short, the 272.87 euros per MWh that will be registered tomorrow represent a rise of 4.2% compared to the 261.95 euros of Tuesday of last week and 5.1% more than the 259.57 euros of a month ago, on July 9.

In a year-on-year comparison, this Tuesday an increase in price of 155.6% was registered, since on August 9 of last year the price was 106.74 euros per MWh.
