The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will rise tomorrow, Thursday, by 1.1% and will stand at 276.34 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), with the cost of the 'pool' and compensation to gas companies , compared to 273.4 euros today.
According to the latest data from the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Servimedia, the price of electricity continues to rise for another day and will rise almost three euros tomorrow.
The price of the 'pool' will remain at 150.19 euros, 3.7% more than the 144.78 euros of this Wednesday. The most expensive time will be between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., when the price will rise to 176.05 euros, while the cheapest will be between 4 and 5 p.m., at 122.5 euros.
For its part, the amount of gas compensation will reach 126.21 euros, compared to 129.12 euros today, which translates into a decrease of 2.3%.

In short, the 276.34 euros per MWh that will be registered this Thursday represent a rise of 8.9% compared to the 253.77 euros of Thursday of last week. On the other hand, it is 7.4% lower than that of a month ago, July 11, when the cost of energy stood at 298.49 euros.
In a year-on-year comparison, this Thursday there will be a rise of 142.4%, since on August 11 of last year the price was 113.99 euros per MWh.
