These are the cheapest hours of electricity for this Saturday, August 13

The average price of electricity in the wholesale market will rise 0.8% this Saturday and will stand at 303.73 euros per megawatt hour (MWh), with the cost of the 'pool' and compensation to gas companies, compared to at 301.31 euros this Friday.

According to the latest data from the Iberian Electricity Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Servimedia, the price of electricity continues to rise for another day.

The price of the 'pool' remains at 152.32 euros, 3.74% less than the 158.25 euros this Friday. The most expensive time will be between 11:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m., when the price will rise to 180.60 euros, while the cheapest will be between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., at 118.25 euros.

For its part, the amount of gas compensation will reach 151.41 euros, compared to 143.06 euros today, which translates into an increase of 5.84%.

In short, the 303.73 euros per MWh that will be registered this Saturday represent a rise of 26.25% compared to the 240.58 euros of Saturday last week. Instead, it is 4.5% lower than that of a month ago, July 13.

In a year-on-year comparison, this Friday there will be a rise of 158.96%, since on August 13 of last year the price was 117.29 euros per MWh.
