The vaccination campaign in Catalonia will begin on the same December 27, the same day that the campaign starts in Spain, starting with users and residential workers. The first Catalan nursing home to receive the Pfizer / BioNTech doses will be the Feixa Llarga, from l’Hospitalet de Llobregat. It is “green”, that is, without contagion, and it is “great”, explained the Minister of Health, Alba Vergés, at the press conference before Christmas with the Minister of the Interior.
Catalonia closes the perimeter of the Cerdanya and Ripollès regions due to the advance of the pandemic
Vergés explained that that same day, with “territorial equity”, the vaccination teams will also travel to a residence in each Catalan health region to begin the campaign. For those first injections on Sunday, Catalonia will have a “vaccine advance” of 1,500 doses.
The residences that will receive the doses on Sunday 27 will be the Nostra Senyora de Ribera, in Pobla de Segur (Alt Pirineu and Aran); Balafia 1, in Lleida; La Mercè, in Tarragona (Camp de Tarragona); Natzaret, in Móra d’Ebre (Terres de l’Ebre); Font dels Capellans, in Manresa (Central Catalonia); Mil·lenari, in Barcelona; Sabadell Gent Gran, in Sabadell (Metropolitana Norte), and Creu de Palau, in Girona.
