Since the rebates were liberalized in 2012, discounts in Spanish stores no longer adhere to two regulated periods per year. Continuous promotions, the official sales, the «Black Friday» (Black Friday) and now the «mid season» (mid season) have changed the commercial calendar and also the habits of the consumers. This period of discounts is an advance to the next «Black Friday», which will be held on November 23 and in which the offers will be predictably more aggressive with rebates in the vast majority of articles of fashion brands and other sectors.
Due to the proliferation of discounts throughout the year, the rebates no longer reap the results of yesteryear. During July, sales rose 1.5% in July and August, just 0.6%. From Acotex emphasize that the annual decline is -3.6% so far and that they hope to close the year in positive with the campaign of autumn / winter and Christmas.
At the moment and as a means to release the "stock", many are the fashion brands that are targeted in Spain to this trend imported from the Anglo-Saxon world and that customers take the opportunity to renew their wardrobe facing the cold months.
In El Corte Inglés they will offer discounts on selected brands from today until October 24. Sfera It has also launched promotions of up to 40% and will be valid until next October 13.
In Inditex They have hung the sale poster of up to 60% in brands such as Zara Home, Pull & Bear, Bershka and Stradivarius. At the moment, it has not included Zara, Massimo Duti or Uterque in this campaign.
Another of the great Spanish textile groups, Mango, offers a discount of up to 50% on selected items and 30% on denim clothing.
On the other hand, Cortefiel and Springfield they sign up for the "mid season sale" until October 14 with discounts of up to 50% on some garments.
There are also early sales on the shelves of Swedish brands & Other Stories and H & M.
