The Philharmonic Society of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will open a new season on Tuesday, October 6 with a concert starring the Zagreb Quartet and Sophia Hase at the piano to offer in the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, as announced this Saturday.
Works by Joseph Haydn (“Quartet No. 1 in B b Major, op. 1”), Erwin Schulhoff (“11 Inventions for Piano”) and Johannes brahms (“Quintet for piano in F minor, op. 34”), make up the program of that recital, has advanced through a statement said society.
Which recalls that, founded as the first stable and professional string quartet on the Croatian music scene, the Zagreb Quartet It gave its first concert on April 25, 1919 and is currently the oldest chamber ensemble in Croatia.

Of Sophia hase states that, born in Stuttgart, she began an early and intense artistic activity within a family of musicians, studied with Paul Buck, Rosa Sabater, Elza Kolodin, Fany Solter and Dinorah Varsi, until achieving a high artistic level recognized internationally in numerous European competitions.
And he adds that he has performed in renowned venues and festivals such as Prague Spring, Osterfestspiele Salzburg (presented by Herbert von Karajan), Schlosskonzerte Ludwigsburg, Peralada Castle, Cascavel (Brazil), Brasilia National Theater, Opera Essen or Odyssiad Colorado.
