The young promises exhibit their talent at the GlobalJam - La Provincia
The main track of the Gran Canaria Arena gather between the Friday 6 and Sunday 8 of December to young promises of world basketball on the occasion of the third edition of GlobalJam, international tournament of the sub 19 category. This time the competition brings together eight high-level teams.
The sets that make up the poster of the event are the following: The Skill Factory of the United States, which has among its ranks with talented players who may be in the NBA in the coming years; he SNM International, also from the United States; he BK RIG Mark from Suecito; he USK Prague, which supplies players to all Czech teams; and the Movistar Students, for Spain. In addition, three island clubs will defend the honor of local 'basketball': CB Gran Canaria, he Canterbury Academy and the Foundation CB Canary.
The competition takes place under the new Bracket system, through which tAll participants make sure to play three games and compete for goals in all of them, something fundamental in training categories. Admission is free and Sunday's grand finale will be broadcast on Televisión Canaria at 12.00.
This Wednesday, December 4, the event lived its official presentation, with the presence of the Minister of Sports of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Francisco Castellano, and Rafael Calvo, organizer of the tournament, who were accompanied by the head of Sports of the Canary Television, Jesús Alberto Rodríguez, the vice president of the Canarian Basketball Federation, Juan Miguel Morales, and the president of the Insular Basketball Federation of Gran Canaria, Rafael Rodríguez.
